In high-speed industrial processes such as water-based coatings, oil-based inks, adhesives, gravure printing, and flexographic printing, conventional wetting agents often suffer from poor substrate adsorption, insufficient spreading, and surface defects such as cratering, pinholes, and edge crawling. However, products with strong wetting properties tend to generate and stabilize foam, making defoaming more difficult.
To address these challenges, the E520 Series and E530 Series hydrophobic silicone-modified organic silicone wetting agents are specially developed to provide an optimized solution for dynamic wetting and foam control systems.
Core Technology: Acetylene diol-modified siloxane
Both product series are based on a polysiloxane grafted with acetylenic diol ethoxylates structure. E520 can replace Tego 4000, and E530 can replace Tego 4100.

The core raw material for the E520 and E530 series is acetylenic diol ethoxylate (gemini acetylenic diol ether), which is itself an excellent type of non-ionic surfactant.

High-performance wetting agents can be synthesized in-house by selecting acetylenic alcohol ether raw materials; alternatively, choosing the E520 or E530 series eliminates the synthesis step, providing a ready-to-use solution.
The E520 and E530 series are hydrophobic wetting agents based on alkynediol-modified organosilicon technology. They are designed to meet or even surpass high-end imported products in key performance parameters, including ultra-fast dynamic surface tension reduction at the millisecond level, excellent anti-cratering and anti-edge crawling performance, outstanding low-foaming and defoaming capability, broad compatibility in both water-based and oil-based systems, 100% active content with no solvent formulation, as well as reliable domestic supply with high cost-performance and stable availability.
● Addition method: Can be added during either the grinding or paint mixing stage; stir and disperse thoroughly.
● Start at the lower end of the recommended dosage range and fine-tune based on wetting performance and foaming characteristics.
● High dosage levels (>0.5%) may slightly affect recoatability; for systems with extremely high recoatability requirements, the dosage should be kept within 0.3%.
